To download TikTok videos on Android, copy the video link in the TikTok app, open the Video page of ssstiktok.live in Chrome, paste the link and tap Analyze video, then Download the full video. The MP4 goes to your Downloads folder and shows up in most gallery apps. No APK, no extra app, and no sign-up: it’s free.

What you need
- An Android phone or tablet with Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox or another browser.
- A public TikTok video link.
- The right to save the video (personal use, or the creator’s permission).
Download TikTok videos on Android: step by step
1. Copy the link from TikTok
Open the video in the TikTok app, tap the Share arrow, then Copy link.
2. Paste it on ssstiktok.live
Open your browser and go to the Video page. Long-press the field and tap Paste. The home page field works too: it recognizes videos, lives and profiles automatically.
3. Tap “Analyze video”
The video opens in the editor with a player and a timeline.
4. Tap “Download the full video”
Chrome shows a download notification. When it completes, tap Open to play the video. Samsung Internet and Firefox work the same way, with their own download bar.
5. Find the file later
- Notification shade: swipe down and tap the finished download.
- File manager: open Files by Google (or My Files on Samsung) and go to Downloads.
- Gallery: most gallery apps list videos from Downloads. In Google Photos, look under the device folders in the Library or Collections tab.
Save a clip or the audio only
Before downloading, you can cut the video. Drag the handles on the timeline (they’re sized for fingers), or play the video and tap Start and End, then tap + Add clip. Choose MP4 or MP3, then tap Export.
- For clean cuts, pick Precise mode. Fast is quicker but the start may shift slightly.
- With several clips, Bundle in a ZIP gives you one file.

Extracting a ZIP on Android
- Open Files by Google or My Files (Samsung).
- Go to Downloads and tap the ZIP file.
- Tap Extract. The clips appear in a new folder.
If you’d rather skip this step, uncheck Bundle in a ZIP before exporting and each clip downloads as its own file.
Why not use an APK?
Some “TikTok downloader” apps for Android are only available as APK files outside Google Play. Installing them means giving an unknown app access to your phone. A browser-based tool avoids that entirely: nothing is installed, and files are deleted from the ssstiktok.live server 10 minutes after they’re ready, or shortly after your download completes.
Chrome, Samsung Internet or Firefox?
Any of them works. The differences are small:
- Chrome shows a download notification and a short bar at the bottom of the page. Tap Open to play the file.
- Samsung Internet lists downloads in its own menu, under Downloads, and saves them to the Downloads folder by default.
- Firefox shows a download prompt and keeps a list of downloads in its menu.
If your browser asks where to save the file, pick Downloads so you’ll find it easily later.
Sharing a downloaded TikTok video
Once the MP4 is on your phone, you can share it from your gallery or file manager like any other video: long-press it, tap Share, and pick the app. The file is a standard MP4 in H.264, so messaging apps, video editors and cloud storage all accept it.
If you use Google Photos backup, check whether your Downloads folder is included. If it isn’t, the video stays only on your phone.
Tips for Android users
- Download right away. Files stay on the server for 10 minutes after they’re ready. Keeping the editor open extends this, up to 30 minutes after processing.
- Keep the browser open during the download. Downloads can’t resume. If one fails, tap the download button again while the countdown is running.
- Watch your storage. Long videos and live recordings can be large. Free up space if the download fails right away.
- Record lives from your phone. You can also record a TikTok live in Chrome. Keep the screen on and the tab open until the file downloads.
Common problems on Android
The download notification says “failed.” Check your connection and free storage, then tap the download button again. If the file has expired, paste the link again.
I can’t see the video in my gallery. Open your file manager and look in Downloads. Some galleries hide that folder by default.
“This isn’t a valid TikTok link.” Copy the link again from TikTok’s Share menu. It should start with https://.
“This content isn’t available (private, deleted or restricted).” The video isn’t public. ssstiktok.live only works with public content.
“Photo posts can’t be cut.” Photo posts and slideshows aren’t supported. Only videos can be downloaded.
“Too many requests in a short time.” Wait a few minutes before trying again.
“Daily limit reached. Come back tomorrow.” The site is free, with no sign-up, but a daily anti-abuse limit applies. Try again the next day.
