The quickest way to download TikTok video files is simple: copy the video’s link in the TikTok app or on tiktok.com, paste it into the Video page on ssstiktok.live, tap Analyze video, then choose Download the full video. You get an MP4 file saved to your phone or computer, for free, with nothing to install and no registration. If you only need part of the clip, you can cut it into shorter pieces or pull the audio as MP3 before you download.

What you need before you start
- A public TikTok video link. Standard links (
tiktok.com/@username/video/…) and short share links (vm.tiktok.com/…orvt.tiktok.com/…) both work. - A web browser. Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Samsung Internet. Any recent version is fine.
- The right to save the video. Download videos for personal use, or with the creator’s permission. More on this below.
That’s it. There’s no app, no browser extension and no desktop software to install.
How to download TikTok video files as MP4 in 4 steps
1. Copy the TikTok video link
In the TikTok app, open the video, tap the Share arrow, then tap Copy link. On a computer, open the video on tiktok.com and copy the address from your browser’s address bar, or use the Share menu the same way.
2. Paste the link on ssstiktok.live
Open the Video page and paste the link into the field. You can also paste it on the home page: the single field detects whether the link is a video, a live or a profile and sends you to the right page.
3. Tap “Analyze video”
ssstiktok.live fetches the video and opens it in the editor. You’ll see a player, the video’s author, a timeline, and a countdown showing how long the file will stay on the server.
4. Download the MP4
Tap Download the full video. Your browser saves the MP4 file like any other download. That’s the fastest route, and for most people it’s all they need.
Download only part of the video
Sometimes you want the punchline, not the whole 3-minute video. The editor lets you cut the video before you download it:
- Play the video or drag the handles on the timeline to set a Start and an End. On a computer, press I to set the start and O to set the end.
- Tap + Add clip. Repeat to add more clips from the same video.
- Pick the Output format: MP4 for video, MP3 for audio only.
- Choose a Cut mode. Precise re-encodes the clip and cuts on the exact frame, which takes a bit longer. Fast skips re-encoding and is almost instant, but the start snaps to the nearest keyframe, so it may shift slightly.
- Leave Bundle in a ZIP checked if you want all your clips in one file, or uncheck it to get one file per clip.
- Tap Export. The download starts on its own when the clips are ready.

Device-by-device instructions
The steps on ssstiktok.live are the same everywhere. What changes is where the file lands and how you move it to your gallery.
iPhone and iPad
Safari saves the MP4 to the Downloads folder in the Files app. To put it in Photos, open Files, tap the video, tap the Share button and choose Save Video. Our iPhone guide covers this in detail, including ZIP files.
Android
Chrome and most Android browsers save the file to the Downloads folder. Open it from the download notification, or find it in your file manager (Files by Google, My Files on Samsung). Most gallery apps pick up videos in Downloads. See the Android guide for more.
Windows PC and Mac
The file goes to your Downloads folder by default. Double-click to play it. To extract a ZIP, right-click it and choose Extract All on Windows, or double-click it on a Mac. Details are in the PC and Mac guide.

Tips for better results
- Download right away. A ready file stays available for 10 minutes. If you keep the editor open, the window is extended, up to 30 minutes after processing ends.
- Keep the tab open during the download. Downloads can’t resume. If one is interrupted, start it again from the editor while the countdown is still running.
- Use Precise mode for tight edits. If a clip must start on an exact moment, such as a beat drop or a line of dialogue, choose Precise.

Common problems and how to fix them
“This isn’t a valid TikTok link.” The field only accepts tiktok.com links. Make sure you copied the full address starting with https://, not a caption or a username. Short links from vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com are fine.
“This content isn’t available (private, deleted or restricted).” The video is private, was removed, or can’t be downloaded. ssstiktok.live only works with public videos, and there’s no way around this.
Photo posts and slideshows don’t work. Photo posts can’t be downloaded or cut on ssstiktok.live. Only video posts are supported.
“Too many requests in a short time.” Wait a few minutes before trying again. The same goes for “TikTok is blocking access to this content from our server” or “TikTok is taking too long to respond”: these are temporary, and retrying later usually works.
“The file has expired and was deleted from the server.” You waited more than 10 minutes, or the download already finished and the files were purged. Paste the link again to start over.
“Daily limit reached. Come back tomorrow.” The site is free for everyone, with a daily anti-abuse limit per browser and per network. When you reach it, wait until the next day. Files you already prepared stay downloadable until their countdown ends.
The download started but I can’t find the file. Check your browser’s downloads list. On iPhone, look in Files > Downloads. On Android, check the Downloads folder or the notification shade.
A word on copyright
ssstiktok.live is not affiliated with TikTok. A video belongs to the person who made it. Download videos for your own personal use, or when the creator has given you permission. Reposting someone else’s video as your own, or using it commercially, can infringe their rights. Some uses, such as commentary, criticism or teaching, may be allowed under fair use or similar rules depending on where you live, but that depends on the facts, and this isn’t legal advice.
