- Any public TikTok video. Standard links (
tiktok.com/@username/video/…) and short links (vm.tiktok.com,vt.tiktok.com) both work. - A recorded TikTok live. After you record a TikTok live, tap Cut and export the audio the same way.
What doesn’t work: photo posts and slideshows, private videos, and links to TikTok’s sound pages. If you like a sound, open a video that uses it and convert that video.
How to convert a TikTok to MP3 in 5 steps
1. Copy the video link
In the TikTok app, tap Share, then Copy link. On a computer, copy the address from your browser bar while the video is open.
2. Paste the link and tap “Analyze video”
Open the Video page, paste the link and tap Analyze video. The video opens in the editor, with a player and a timeline.
3. Select the audio you want
The timeline starts with a short selection at the beginning of the video.
- For the whole track, drag the End handle all the way to the end.
- For one part, play the video and set the Start and End where you want. On a keyboard, press I for the start and O for the end.
Then tap + Add clip. You can add more clips if you want several pieces.
4. Choose MP3
Under Output format, pick MP3. The cut mode (Precise or Fast) only matters for video, so you can ignore it here.
5. Export and download
Tap Export. When the file is ready, the download starts on its own. With more than one clip, leave Bundle in a ZIP checked to get a single ZIP file, or uncheck it to get one MP3 per clip.

- iPhone: Files app > Downloads. You can play it from there or share it to another app.
- Android: the Downloads folder, reachable from the download notification or your file manager.
- PC and Mac: your Downloads folder.

Why MP3 instead of the full video?
An MP3 is much smaller than a video, plays in any audio app, and works well for things you listen to rather than watch:
- a cooking or language lesson you want to replay while doing something else;
- a voice clip for a presentation or a school project (with permission);
- your own content, when you want the audio track to reuse in another edit;
- a quick reference of a song you want to look up later on a music service.

You don’t have to decide once and for all. Opening a video uses one operation, and exporting clips from it afterwards doesn’t use another. So you can export an MP3 of the voiceover and an MP4 of the same moment from the same editor session, as long as the countdown is still running.
Tips for cleaner TikTok audio
- Trim the silence. Many TikToks start with a second or two of nothing. Set your Start just before the first sound.
- Split long videos into chapters. For a long talk, add one clip per topic and download them as a ZIP.
- Check the preview first. Play your selection in the player before exporting so you know the cut lands where you want.
- Download right away. Your file stays on the server for 10 minutes after it’s ready, then it’s deleted. Keeping the editor open extends the window, up to 30 minutes after processing.
Common problems
“This isn’t a valid TikTok link.” You may have pasted a sound page link or a caption. Paste a video link starting with https:// from tiktok.com, vm.tiktok.com or vt.tiktok.com.
“This content isn’t available (private, deleted or restricted).” The video is private, was deleted, or isn’t downloadable. ssstiktok.live only handles public content.
“Photo posts can’t be cut.” Slideshows and photo posts aren’t supported, even if they have music. Look for a video version using the same sound.
“Clip too short.” A clip needs a minimum length. Move the End handle a little further.
“Too many requests in a short time.” Wait a few minutes before trying again. The same advice applies if TikTok is temporarily blocking access or taking too long to respond.
“The file has expired and was deleted from the server.” The 10-minute window passed or the download already completed. Paste the link again to start over.
