To download TikTok videos on PC or Mac, open the video on tiktok.com, copy the link from the address bar, paste it on the Video page of ssstiktok.live and click Analyze video, then Download the full video. The MP4 lands in your Downloads folder. It works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on Windows, macOS and Linux, with no software or extension to install.
A computer is also the most comfortable place to trim clips, thanks to keyboard shortcuts. Here’s the full process.
What you need
- A Windows PC, Mac or Linux computer with an up-to-date browser.
- A public TikTok video link.
- The right to save that video, for personal use or with the creator’s permission.
Download TikTok videos on PC and Mac: step by step
1. Copy the video link
On tiktok.com, open the video so it plays on its own page, then copy the address from the address bar (Ctrl + C on Windows, Cmd + C on Mac). You can also use the video’s Share menu and choose Copy link. If a link was sent to you from a phone, short links like vm.tiktok.com/… work as well.
2. Paste it on ssstiktok.live
Open the Video page, click the field and paste (Ctrl + V or Cmd + V). The home page field works too and routes lives and profiles to the right place.
3. Click “Analyze video”
The video opens in the editor, with the player, the timeline and your clip list.
4. Click “Download the full video”
Your browser saves the MP4 to its download folder. Open it from the browser’s downloads list, or from File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
Trim clips with the keyboard
The editor is fastest with a keyboard:

Opening ZIP files
With several clips and Bundle in a ZIP checked, you get one ZIP file.
- Windows: right-click the ZIP and choose Extract All, or open it in File Explorer and drag the clips out.
- Mac: double-click the ZIP. Finder extracts it into a folder in the same place.
Using TikTok videos in your editor

Recording lives on a computer
A computer is a good choice for recording a TikTok live: you can leave the tab open for the whole stream without your screen locking. Paste the live link on the Live page, click Start recording, and let it run. Recordings are capped at 2 hours.
Chromebook and Linux
ssstiktok.live works the same way on a Chromebook or a Linux computer, since everything happens in the browser. On a Chromebook, downloads go to the Downloads folder in the Files app, which can also open ZIP files. On Linux, your browser uses its usual download folder, and most file managers extract ZIP files with a right-click.
Which browser works best?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all work. Pick the one you already use. A few practical notes:
- Edge and Chrome show downloads in a panel near the address bar.
- Firefox shows an arrow icon in the toolbar with your recent downloads.
- Safari on Mac lists downloads behind the arrow button in the toolbar.
If a download doesn’t appear, check that your browser isn’t set to block multiple downloads, especially when you export clips as separate files instead of a ZIP.
Tips for PC and Mac users
- Download promptly. Files stay on the server for 10 minutes after they’re ready. Keeping the editor open extends that, up to 30 minutes after processing.
- Check your browser’s download setting. If your browser asks where to save each file, pick a folder you’ll remember.
- Don’t close the tab mid-download. Downloads can’t resume. If one is interrupted, click the download button again while the countdown is running.
- Browse a creator’s videos. On a big screen, the Profile page shows a creator’s public posts in a grid, so you can pick the ones you want.
Common problems on PC and Mac
The browser blocked the download. Some browsers ask for confirmation before keeping a download. Allow it from the downloads list or the prompt near the address bar.
“This isn’t a valid TikTok link.” Make sure you copied a video address from tiktok.com, not a search page or the For You feed. The address should include /video/.
“This content isn’t available (private, deleted or restricted).” The video isn’t public or was removed. ssstiktok.live only works with public content.
“TikTok is blocking access to this content from our server.” A temporary limit on TikTok’s side. Try again in a few minutes.
“The file has expired and was deleted from the server.” The 10-minute window passed, or the download already completed. Paste the link again.
“Daily limit reached. Come back tomorrow.” The site is free, with no sign-up, but a daily anti-abuse limit applies. Try again the next day.
